Dan Levy

Dan Levy has more than two decades of experience leading high-growth businesses in technology and finance. He served in senior roles across product development, sales and marketing, operations, and finance; and he has served at every stage of company growth from founding, IPO(s), and acquisition(s) to Fortune 50. Dan’s leadership style focuses on clear goals, developing world-class organizations, relentless execution, and clear communication through both data and stories. He was appointed CEO of  Legends in April 2024 and serves on the company’s Board of Directors.

During his 14-year tenure at Meta (formerly Facebook), Dan served on the executive team for more than eight years and was one of the only executives to lead both technical and commercial teams. Most recently, he led Meta’s monetization of Business Messaging (WhatsApp and Messenger), turning it from an underinvested opportunity into a $10B+ annual run rate business, a top company priority, and one of its fastest-growing businesses. Previously, Dan oversaw Meta’s $100B+ revenue ads business across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger leading it to 2x growth in four years through significant industry change (COVID and Apple regulations). On the commercial side, he led all efforts serving small businesses for over six years, growing the revenue by more than 30x and active clients by more than 20x. He also worked directly for the company’s CFO during its 2012 IPO.

Previously, Dan held multiple roles through PayPal’s hyper-growth stage, including risk management, operations, and product. He moved to London for 16 months to help grow PayPal’s international business before returning to California to join Facebook.

While obtaining his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford, Dan co-founded Justarrive, an e-ticketing service. The company’s vision for electronic ticketing attracted clients, including the San Francisco Giants (MLB), Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL), UCLA, and Stanford.

Dan resides in Maui with his wife and three living children. He’s an avid golfer, sports fan, and traveler. His family helped start and then endow the music therapy program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in memory of his son Andrew.
